A Message From the Principal

Dear Wildcats,

While this school year winds down for you, we are in full gear. Our curriculum has started to arrive at Tildenville Elementary. We have about 300 boxes in our office. It is quite a site. My goal was to make sure we had our materials early, so when we start school, we are not waiting on important items to arrive. We are processing them now and will move them to the new school as soon as we are allowed in the building. I am not sure how, but I will worry about that when the time comes.

I would like to thank our Kindergarten teachers for hosting an orientation meeting for our new parents and students. I know it was a very busy for all of them. We had a very good turnout and everyone seemed have a fun. A special thanks to Mr. Daniels at Thornebrooke for allowing us to use the Media Center and to our great PTA for hosting with snacks.

At the end of May, I selected After School Programs, Inc. as our before and after school provider. Orange County Schools has 4 vendors for us to choose from. After meeting and reviewing materials from all of them, I chose After School Programs. They are the only provider accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and they also purchase reading and math curriculum for our students. You can pick an application at Lake Whitney Elementary anytime over the summer. As soon as I am able, I will place those forms on our website.
